Shalom Kasim

Shalom Kasim is a writer of fiction and nonfiction from Gombe, Nigeria. He served as editor-in-chief of the magazine, Insights, at the Federal University, Wukari. He is the Managing Editor at Mud Season Review, and contributes to a range of publications, including Erato Magazine, Pictura Journal, and Biochar Magazine. In 2022, he was longlisted in the Best Nonfiction category of the African Writers Award. 

Kasim is a research fellow at Archivi.ng, working on a project to tell the story behind the story of Black Orpheus, the oldest literary magazine in Nigerian history.
